I haven't been here much over the past couple of weeks.  We've just moved house and had to deal with all the hassle that comes with it.  For one thing we're having to buy a new sofa.  The one we had would never have fit in this new place.  Our livingroom is upstairs and there's some winding stairs that lead up to it which make it very difficult to get bulky things up there.  So we've been sitting on the floor since we've moved in.  But luckily yesterday we spotted a smaller couch and armchairs and went ahead and bought them.  They get here on Monday.  I just hope they're going to fit.
Anyhoo, enough about furniture.  Since we moved in three weeks ago, we've been without a phone line and internet.  Believe me, it was painful.  Very painful.  Anytime I went round to a friends house I'd hijack their internet for the entire time we were there.
But ours is now working.  Finally.  Engineer had to come out and everything to fix a problem with the line.
It's amazing how lost you feel when you haven't got that magical tool at your disposal.  The amount of times we were watching a movie and recognised someone but couldn't quite place them, IMDB was out of our reach.  And that time I was eating an avacado and was wondering if it was a fruit or a vegetable and wikipedia was lost to us.
But anyway, enough of my ramblings.  I'm going to catch up on what I've missed.

So anyone who is a fan of the Wheel of Time series by Robert Jordan knows that the fourteenth (and last book) is coming out on 8th January 2013.  And to anyone who isn't a fan .... well you should be.  Cause it's awesome.

Anyhoo, I am uber excited for this book coming out.  I started reading these books about ten years ago and have been hooked on them ever since.  And now the last book is coming out!  Unfortunately Robert Jordan died in 2007, but he passed on the mantle to Brandon Sanderson, in order for the sereis to continue.  Personally I think Sanderson has done a fantastic job with the continuing the story.  But it is a shame that Jordan didn't get to see the finish himself.

And here is where my feature comes in.  I did think about posting this on 8th January, but lets be honest, it just wouldn't get done then.  I'll be far too busy reading my book.

Ok so this is my first journal entry.  I told myself I was going to be more sociable in 2013, so here we go.
Ok, ok, I know it's still 2012, but it's Christmas.  And Christmas is a happy time of year.
And speaking of... Santa's coming!  He's nearly here!
Ok so I've been infected with my nephews enthusiasism.  I've just been up to my brother's taking up presents for Christmas Day and my nephew is pretty much bouncing off the walls at the moment with excitement.  Bless him, he's only three  Aah to be that age again.....
Anyhoo, you don't have to be three years old to be excited about Christmas.  Me and my boyfriend have a pile of presents here waiting to be opened and I'm quite excited myself for the big day.
It's going to be quite difficult to sleep tonight.  But luckily we do have to get up early tomorrow.  Which is a good thing.  Last Christmas Eve I kept waking up in the night, probably every hour or so and kept thinking "is it time to get up now."  
I'm such a big kid.
And I've got to admit, I opened my present from my brother and sister in law.  It's a £15 book token.  And it's perfect.  Cause you see I've got another date I'm really looking forward to and that's 8th January.  A Memory Of Light, the last book in the Wheel of Time series is being released then and this book token means that the book is pretty much paid for now!  Weeeeeeeeee!!!

So I hope everyone has a great Christmas and gets everything they want from Santa.
